LAUREN GENEVIEVE

Actor. Singer. Songwriter.

Lauren “Ren” Genevieve is an actor-singer-songwriter who most recently made her Off-Broadway debut in The Vicksburg Project at Harlem Stage. Lauren graduated with a B.F.A. from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts New Studio on Broadway.

Her training at NYU Tisch provided her with the opportunity to work on new material with new composers and writers in addition to well-known works in the theatrical canon, and gave her experience with screen acting and the process of storytelling through film as both a writer and an actor.

While at NYU, Lauren appeared in many productions notably Wendla in Spring Awakening and Taryn in Hammer, A New Musical, and created a short film adaptation of The Rose Tree by Joseph Jacobs. Other recent credits include Little Inez in Hairspray (Priscilla Beach Theatre) and Nettie in The Colour Purple (Troika Bermuda).

Lauren has an affinity for songwriting, music, dance, and language learning, and speaks French and Spanish in addition to being skilled in multiple English language dialects and styles of singing and dance. She looks forward to using these skills in future projects in film, television, and theatre.
